I have a HUGE project and I have no ideas.
I need a project for my engeneering class. I have to inovate something completly new- and I have no idea where to start!
So my question: what things around you always iritate you- like paintball guns that aren't very accurate, or your car battery always dying (last year's projects).

Heres a good one: electric cars and energy conservation. Most electric cars utilize a breaking mechanism that helps to recharge the battery but there is potential to harvest a bit more of the kinetic energy of the car... Have you ever seen the battery-less flashlights? They use the concept of induction, where a magnet is passed through a coil and the magnetic flux induces a current that powers the flashlight. Imagine using a bunch of these to passively recharge an electric car a it drives - every time the car hits a bump or shakes, a bit of that kinetic energy will be converted to electric energy through induction.

I need a vehicle to get around a rural property. I don't want to have to push a cart and I don't want to drive the gasoline tractor. I need to be able to get around over uneven terrain, up and down slopes, and haul at least 50 pounds of stuff--tools, compost, mulch. What can I use? A tricycle with large fat tires? Could this vehicle have an electric-powered motor to assist with foot-power?

a way to prevent messes while potty training. maybe some way to improve pull up so that they actually work. my daughter doesn't realize she is wet if she is wearing a pull up. it is just like wearing a diaper that she put on like panties.

NOISE -- too much noise and earplugs don't help, plus they are awfully uncomfortable.
