Dwarf puffers are a pure freshwater fish. You can add a small amount of aquarium salt, but it is not necessary. A dwarf puffer would be great for a 10 gallon tank, but not with the gobies. Try to find a female DP because they are much less aggressive than the males. I have a DP, and it is one of my favorite fish. You really should do some research on them before purchasing. Make sure you have a steady supply of snails for any puffer. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.

green spot puffers can stay in clean water while they are youthful. yet once you wan't them to stay to tell the story long term they could desire to be transitioned to brackish water. So the guy interior the shop became into incredible. There are Dwarf puffer fish than are real freshwater, yet there are a completely diverse species. Ian

A Dwarf Puffer is an entirely freshwater fish. They can live in brackish water, but they won't thrive. You could put him in the 10 gallon with salt, but he won't live as long than in freshwater.

well if you like puffers, those are usually brackish. dwarfs, i have been told are the more hardier, but others like figure 8 and leopard those are bigger. and if you are really interested in brackish i would have to say, bumblebee gobies (small only about 1 1/2 max) http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddball,%20Bumblebee%20Goby.htm and and MAYBE a freshwater flounder, then get pretty big http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddball,%20Flounder.htm
