i mean he is pretty old and i dont think any teams are gonna want a player who's gonna go out there and try to kill the opposing pitcher

Playing at his age in an independent league? His career was over before this incident. This is just the icing on the cake. No one is going to take a hothead like him into the clubhouse, even at a cheap price.

Hey Darthnick,

Yup i think for the most part Offerman's career is over. Prior to the incident- i think he had an outside shot- because he was doing very well- and when calling up people from the minors- i think having previous major league experience helps- he was a 2 time all-star. But after the incident and the suspension coming his way-i doubt any team would touch him with a 10 foot pole.

His career was already over before this incident, he is indeed up there in age and he doesn't serve any value to any team, it was a surprise to me to even hear his name in baseball. when a player goes down to the minor leagues you never hear anything about them, unless they do something stupid like offerman. for example julio franco. he is in the minors, last thing we heard about him was when he was sent down to single A and he said he was very happy to play. his career is obviously over as well. oh ya, he hit someone with a bat.

It's been over. Anytime you go play for the Long Island Ducks, your career is basically over. Remember John Rocker? Dumb move on his part btw
