I certainly wouldn't make an announcement. Be yourself, and get to know each other. Let your sexuality come out as time passes and perhaps someone of the guys asks. By the way, you might have a gay mate in the apartment!

The dog only acted out of fear. Get a harness that fits properly and give the dog some time to adjust to everyone. The dog has been through a lot in it's life. You just need to learn how to handle the dog properly, and grabbing is not a proper way to handle a fearful dog, will get you bitten every time. Sorry you got bit.

honestly, i don't know how much help i can be but i can try. first, let me clarify a few things first. my first college, i lived on campus ('cause it was 3 or 4 states away from my state; NJ) (the second college was a community college and the final one, i live far enough away to drive to class but not far enough to live on campus). the other thing is that i am a straight female who does have gay/lesbian friends.
second, be honest with them. maybe you should sit them down one by one and explain to them that you are gay. maybe you should try to explain that they shouldn't worry about you being gay because of what reasoning you have.
finally, don't hesitate to ask them to hang out wih you and friends you've met...hopefully that way they won't treat you any differently.

*kinda funny story*
this past spring semester, i was friends with this one guy "brad" (the name has been changed). his one suitemate was gay who i was also friends with. "fred" (name also changed) and i both had a huge crush on brad from the beginning of the semester. brad didn't know about fred's feelings for him until after spring break (yes, brad was aware of fred's homosexuality and wasn't bothered by it). after brad found out, fred and i were kinda at each other's throats for brad's attention. that put a strain on our friendship as well as our individual friendship with brad. in may, brad graduated....this summer, i had taken classes and the one day i went to school early for some reason. fred saying in great humor: "look what the cat dragged in!" we both laughed. we talked for a bit before we both had to go to class. fred and brad cleared the air and are still friends. i cleared the air with the both of them and still friends with the both of them. brad's still straight...he and i never dated which was a blessing because i'm high energy and he's more laid back...

hope this helps! good luck!!

Be honest, be openly receptive, be prepared(and no, I am NOT referring to any kind of hedonistic dorm room gathering at two o'clock in the wee hours of the morning either!!!!!)

not to scare you, but you sould have maybe investigated them more and got to maybe know at least one. I would just be yourself and feel out the situation. Good luck

Don't be nervous. It'll be cool. If your roommates are hot, you can sniff their dirty underwear while they are gone and masturbate to it.

It would be awesome if your roommates were hot jocks who leave their worn boxerbriefs on the floor and their jerk off socks in their room so you can use them for erotic purposes. ;)
