well it's not the safest thing in the world but here are a few tips.
lighting well strike the tallest thing so if you're in the middle of a meadow this is a big no no. never go in water if lighting is close cause if lighting hits any spot in the water you'll get shocked and it well be More powerful, Also lighting's attracted to metal so yeah don't hold metal in a lighting storm. finally once you see lighting count and how ever many seconds it is tell there's thunder is how many miles away it is if you don't here any then it's super far away and is completely safe to go outside.

No it isn't. Get out of the pool and find some sort of adequate shelter until the storm passes. DO NOT seek shelter under a tree.

No. Stay off the tops of peaks and away from tall trees or poles.
If you can get into a car and close the windows, that is about as safe as you can get outside of a cave or a house.

Absolutely not. Espescially if it is lightening, There are many dangers when roads are wet , dead tree limbs fall, why would you want to be outside during a thunderstorm anyways?

Stay away from trees. Find low lying areas such as a ravine, but,
Be aware if flash flooding is possible from drainage in those.
