ALL THREE are franchise players. Although none of them have had chemistry problems, they are all used to being the centre of their respective teams. Also they are all used to scoring all their teams' points. Pierce had 25 PPG, Garnett 22 and Allen 26 for their teams. Each of them averaged 4 assists per game.
They are all used to having the ball GIVEN to them to SCORE. They have noone to rack up assists, and For this reason, although they are all amazing players, i dont think that Boston will be a serious championship contender.
Oh and btw boston also has NO DEPTH

ok timdizzle. 1) USA team plays less than 10 games a year together. 2) Celtics will be playing 82+ over a much longer period of time
3)No need for an "assist man" are you serious? so you think a team can succeed if three seperate players all make their own plays and don't share the ball?

It's not really obsession, I think, but more of excitement and great expectation. You see, seldom do we see a team with 3 all-stars in the lineup (4 if Reggie Miller joins 'em). In '04 we saw how the Lakers stacked their lineup with 4 future hall of famers and we all got awestrucked. But what happened? They got a whopping from the Pistons. So it's no guarantee that they'll win the championship. Playing the right way, which what Detroit did in '04, is what matters.

Look at team USA. 5 franchise players on the floor at once can make a very strong team.
The players won't have to worry about double teams or playing 40 minutes a night anymore. Also, they can create for themselves, so there's no need for an assist man.

NO BENCH AND ROLE PLAYER FOR CELTICS ,, they had 3 allstar but NBA atleast played 82 games plus playoffs and 48 minutes per games,, how they gonna play 48 minutes a game these 3 all star?? and no experiece yet in the NBA FINAL... tell me how they gonna go that FAR??? if u put that in the western conf ...thats gonna be an average team maybe or bare make the playoffs...hahaha

i agree it wont work they have no depth and they all normally get all/most of the points for their team but not they got to share it 3ways and have NO DEPTH
