Because we all need someone in our lives eventually and don't say that you don't 'cause no one likes to be alone all the time and for the rest of their lives.. There will be one point where you're gonna want to be with someone and/or that special someone.

my kids and my husband keep me focused on what life is really all about, and how much love we all have for one another, and we are always there no matter if things are good or bad, and friends are the ones that have been with us our entire lives, and know us better than we know ourselves at times and keep us in check, they are also good for bouncing ideas off of, we vacation together, that way our kids have others to be with, and we have other adults to converse with as well, we each have an RV, and we travel all over and have for the last 18 years, and will continue, even after all the kids are grown and gone....but both love you no matter how mad we get at one another at times, we always make up, they love us when we wake up after a night of playing cards and we still have half our makeup on, they hold us when we cry, and cry with us, they laugh when we laugh, they are also good because you can call them at all hours of the night or day, and they always answer the phone, and are there when you need them, and will drop everything to be by your side

LubyHoney....Family keeps me focused on what IS important to me...I am just a few weeks away from being a grandmother for the first time in my life and I'm SO excited about it!

My mother is still living, still fairly healthy at 77. My sister is raising her grandson (she and her husband adopted him when her daughter...the boy's birth mother...died of brain cancer).

My friends are having grandkids and some of them are even thinking of retiring in the next few years and I couldn't be HAPPIER for them!

Um...so!!! What was your question????

The Bible does not lay out a step by step order in a single passage. However, we can still look to the Scriptures to determine the order of our priorities. God obviously comes first: Deuteronomy 6:5 (NLT) "And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength."

If you are not married and do not have children, parents come next: Colossians 3:20 (NLT) "You children must always obey your parents, for this is what pleases the Lord." If you do have children, it would be children then parents.

If you are married, your spouse comes next after God. 1 Corinthians 7:32-35 (NIV) "I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's affairs-how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world-how he can please his wife-and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord's affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world-how she can please her husband. I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord."

Next come children (Proverbs 22:6), and then parents (Ephesians 6:1-4). Being that a husband and wife are one flesh (Ephesians 5:31), parents and parents-in-law are together in the "order of ministry." After parents come the rest of one's family, loved ones, and fellow believers (Galatians 5:13-15), then, finally, the rest of the world (Matthew 28:19-20). In conclusion: God > Spouse > Children > Parents > Extended Family > Friends > World.
