I does help it not to hurt so bad. Healing?? I don't think so.

I guess the people who came up with that saying was a person who did not realize that, no matter how many years passed, you will always remember the pain, the hurt, the quilt, the lost, the love, the happiness.....all these things.
Wounds is like scars: They do heal over time but once that scar's been "hit" or "cut" and it is now wide open, it is like a fresh, new wound. And the pain hurts all over again. Only this time, the pain is not as intense as it was for the very first time.

I think the saying came from normal everyday people through the experience called life. Yes time heals all wounds, there will be something splendid that will happen in time, births, marriages, new jobs, college, many things to look forward to, and with each good thing, the bad things seem to disipate!

I don't know, but not all wounds can be healed with time. Especially emotional wounds don't ever heal.

It does but depending on the feelings it may take much time. But keep in mind as soon as contact with that person happens wounds can be open..been there before!

It takes time to either work though it physically or mentally so, in a way the statement is true. Then again, some people never get enough time to work through it and some people don't have the capacity. It all depends...
