no, why would you want to cover up their lie. if the truth ever comes out, then you look like a jerk as well. best thing to say in that situation is, "i don't know anything about it...go ask so and so"

Yes, you can and I have. That all depends on who you are doing it for and what the lie is.
If you have a friend who does not want to see this person and you are friends with that same person, you would say things like "Yeah, well, so and so was real busy because I have been trying to get them myself and I rarely have contact with her/him". Yes, that is a lie, but, they do not know that.

It depends on what the lie was. If it was something small then I think I can do it but if it's some big outrageous lie then I can't do it. It's like me and my sisters we lie and stick up for each other all the time about stuff like sneaking in past curfew and sneaking the car and things like that but if something big happened like one of them committed a crime then I wouldn't lie about that

It depends. If I saw somebody being chased by an axe murderer and they ran past me and went through one of three doors, saying on the way, 'don't tell that crazy guy with the axe which way I went' I could lie for them and misdirect the murderer.
If they wanted me to lie and say they were with me while they were out cheating on their partner, then no, I couldn't lie for them.

Absolutely - I could definetly lie for someone that was close to me....mostly depends on what I am lying about though...like lying about where they were the night before because their boyfriend wants to know - or because the cops are asking me. 2 totally different things.

It depends on what the lie is and if it would hurt anyone in its telling. If its something to help someone I care about, then yes, I would.

It would really depend on the lie. I don't like to lie but if it was to save someone's life then yeah I guess I would.
