I need a good and reliable portable hard drive. I need at least 120 GB of space and it has to have USB 2.0 and FireWire 400 or 800 capability. I also need it to be able to work on Mac OS X and I don't want anything too cumbersome or anything that looks stupid. Oh, and, I want to be able to buy it in a store as well, preferably in a price range of $100-$200 0_o. Please help!!

I have a Porsche Design (I don't know where the "design" came in, it's just a rectangular box) La Cie 500 Gigabyte (it's actually 465 Gigabytes) USB 2.0 hard drive. I got it for $169 (Canadian) and I've been very happy with it so far. I use it for backups.

Get Seagate. Do not, under any circumstances buy Western Digital. I've seen a lot of Seagate's crashing, but I've never seen a Western Digital lasting more than two years.

Hi. I use a WD external drive from Newegg and it has worked well for me. Do a search on Newegg then try to find one at a store if that is your preference.
