Of course...this has always been the way of history. First Persia, then Greece, then Rome, then Europe, then Great Britain, then Russia and America, and some day China and perhaps Malaysia and Africa. All empires weaken and decline as their grasp exceeds their wealth and they make serious errors.

At some point probably. Although America is more powerful, and good than the Roman Empire ever was, like anything else, What goes up, must come down. Except of course, if before the greatest Nation to ever be born falls, the rest of the world joins with America in believing that evil is wrong, killing innocent people for power is wrong, and defending the innocent, and loving honest, hard working values is right. To love your country, your people, and their right to FREEDOM, as much as your own, beyond your own life, as the American Soldier is doing, and has done, since America was born. Not just for America, but for many, many countries in this world.

Not without a nuclear war. Power is a strange word. You can be powerful physically but it gets you nothing without money. America will be as stong as our finances allow us. This is really a question of globalization. The countries with technology will no doubt win this situation but the who knows who will be the best at adapting to change.

Of course. Look at history. There is an enormously long list of empires that have existed, been powerful, spread and then ceased to exist at that same level of power. There is absolutely no realistic reason to think that America would be the exception to this +2000 year history.

No, because unlike the USA there are to many groups within most countries, for example different factions in the middle that will never get along. Here we have always been diverse and all get they voices heard, and unlike most of the rest of the world, we have a history of compromising.. Peace

I believe China will be as powerful if not more powerful especially if we change our American flag of stars and stripes and just have a simple white flag like the liberals prefer. But personally I don't know how the French will react to that considering that they already have a white flag.

Isn't is silly to believe that we will always be most powerful? Every great "empire" has had it's fall. There are a couple areas of the world that may be able to pull it off....given some time....

What do you mean, "believes itself to be?" We ARE the most powerful~period. Don't confuse the nation-building nonsense we're in over in Iraq with what our military can and did accomplish.
