What's worst, Dogfighting or Hunting (animal KILLING)?

You guys are ALL HYPOCRITES & a bunch of RACIST! Michael Vick's dogfighting isn't as bad as ANY hunters (President Bush) hobby to HUNT (killing innocent animals). The only thing you guys can say is that dogfighting is ILLEGAL...LMAO! Anyways, who cares? We live in a society where the president fixes presidental races (2000, Florida), breaks the LAWS OF WAR, & etc. I don't need the LAW to tell me if something is WRONG or not. Killing is killing illegal or not. It's legal to be a prositute in the city of Vegas. Now does that make the Seattle (where it's illegal) prositutes worst then the Vegas prositutes? HELL NO! They're doing the same EXACT THING!

You make some valid points with your argument.

I think the main difference here is that Vick had the intent to raise & train animals to kill each other. If we are arguing that it is wrong to kill animals, then we should argue that ANY killing of animals is wrong. One of our primary food sources is meat, are we just not going to eat?

The main conflict within this situation is that the cultral & social influences on it are huge. Dogs in this country play a vital role in American's lives. They are companions and have emotional connections that humans recognize. I think it is safe to say that killing a dog, who has some recognition of understanding, is a little different than killing a quayle.

There is a law against this for whatever reason and we could argue the purpose of laws all day. Obviously man's law isn't the same as someone's moral or principles but you do know waht is wrong and right. Vick knew this was wrong and chose to risk his liberty to raise & train these dogs to kill.

I think this question is the same as asking "why isn't it ok to kill humans when we are killing animals?" There is a simple answer but it's very complex explanation.

I appreciate your point of view and it brings up insight into the difference bewteen principles & law.

You have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Your logic does not make any sense. Michael Vick chose to be involved in this criminal activity. His choice comes with consequences, or didn't your father ever teach you that? Oh wait, you probably don't know who your father is. Obviously it is apparent that you don't know right from wrong because you said, in regards to dogfighting being illegal, "who cares?" What that tells me is that you don't care about following the laws.

I have a question are you eating the dogs after they die like most hunters will eat the game that they kill?
If so fine then go to your community and start a grass roots campaign to make dogfighting legal. That's all you have to do. Take a step make dogfighting and the eating of the dead dogs legal. Take that to your neighborhood, To your city, to your district and see if you can get it passed into law. You have strong feelings about it right? So go do it. And good luck and some day when it becomes a law that dogfighting is legal. You will be able to say see I did that. But till you do do that stop arguing points of law .

First of all, dog fighting does not even compare to hunting. Since the days of Cavemen, man has hunted for food. I live in an area where many people hunt and the animals are not tortured and the food is not wasted. Also heards and populations of animals need to be thinned for the health of the remaining populations. Many animals have lost their natural predators through development and are starving due to their increase in numbers. Yes people enjoy hunting but it serves a purpose.
It has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that no Presidential race was fixed. What are these laws of war and what breach of those laws do you refer to. although it is not as if they have anything to do with the case at hand.
The facts are this. Dog fighting is illegal because the dogs are tortured and forced to fight against their will and suffer tremendously. Many, many dogs are killed simply because they are not sufficient fighters. They are not put to sleep or killed in a quick humane fashion but are drowned, lit on fire, electrocuted and hung. Michael Vick has been accused of all these things.
Racism does exist and has many unfortunate results. One of those unfortunate results is that ghetto punks like yourself want to blame racism for anything that goes wrong in your life, or anybody else's life in your race, instead of facing up to your own flaws. You are so desperate for a black hero that you will pick anyone and support them to the grave, no matter how wrong you were. There are plenty of black heros for you to admire. Dr Ben Carson, General Colin Powell, Martin Luther King are some of the more well known but there are many more. If you must admire athletes, turn to donovan McNabb, Art Monk. Warrick Dunn, etc.
Better yet, try admiring people for their achievements with no regard for their race.

Actually, it is illegal to be a prostitute in Las Vegas. Some places in Nevada it is legal which makes it not a crime. So there is no punishment.

Why do ignorant idiots have to pull the race card? Michael Vick was involved in an illegal activity, he bankrolled it for his peeps, and looked the NFL Commissioner in the face and lied to him. And as a person who has been a hunter for years, while I do hunt deer and game birds I don't kill my dogs for not hunting, nor do I torture the animals I catch.
