Recently I saw a question about whether Jordan should leave town because her baby is ginger. My question is why do red-heads get so much unjustified ridicule. We've all heard the ginger jokes.
Personally I think a guy with flaming red hair is dead-sexy especially if he has matching pubes.

I'm not exactly sure when and where the whole "anti-red-head" movement became a big issue. I DO know that in England(No, not Ireland or Scotland either), being a ginger is a very bad thing. Almost as bad as being a black person in the 1830's south in the U.S.A. way back then. I DO know that my best friends' mother who IS a joint American and Great Britain citizen and a red head(and damned fine looking at that if I do say so myself!) gets crap all the time when she goes to see her family over there. She even had to file a police report for harassment from another patron at a diner last year. That's how bad it is over in England.

I love any coloured hair. some of my best friends have and laugh when Cathrine tate does the sketch about people being afraid . about ginger hair i mean, ah heck i am getting confused i had better go get some coffee. What the heck does it matter blonde brunette redhead no hair everybody`s beautiful in their own way!

Ok ginger people get made fun of alot because people think red hair is ugly and its a reason to get made fun of.
I dont think its fair either.

The ones who ridicule redheads are just pediculiphobes. I used to feel cheated for not being born with red hair.

I think it's because they are such a rarity - I think it's only 4% of the world's population has ginger hair. It's a genetic mutation from years back...and you know how people can't deal with new or unusual things!

It's because it's faux pas to be racist these days (rightly so), and so everyone has to take out their prejudices against a some human-group. Unfortunately for them, it's the gingers.

I love redheads. I wish I had red hair, but I don't have the colouring to carry it off. Then I'd be a foxy Otter.... I'm waaay too tired. Sorry, I must apologize for that one.
