well, here is my method.
First I sweep the floor with a broom or I vaccum the tile / wood floor.
If you have a yucky mess clean it up with some paper towels (especially doggy messes)
Second I fill a bucket with warm / hot water and put a cap full of Lysol Floor Cleaner in there (or just a good spritz of dishwashing liquid...that helps also!)
Then I use an old towel / absorbend cloth and dip it in the water and i wring it out a little and put it over my scrubber.
i clean the floor, going back and forth on it,
then i take that towel / absorbend cloth off and soak it in the bucket and wring it out again...then i put it back on my scrubber and wipe the floor again...
over and over...
sometimes you might have to renew the water depending how yucky and dirty your floor is.
at the end...throw the towel/ absorbend cloth into the washing machine, empty the water in a toilet and bam...you are done.

I have a LIBMAN WONDERMOP they have been manufactured for a long time... You can find them at walmart/target and even the grocery store.. They have cloth strips that pick up dirt and get into corners really well and the head is removeable so it can go into the washer.... I have two buckets one with soapy water about 1/4c. with lysol disenfectant liquid and the other with hot clean water... I first sweep or vacuum the floor really well... Empty the room of any chairs and such. I then work my way from one end of the room to the other... I wring the mop every 3-4 passes or so... I let it sit wet for a few minutes and then I go over it with the hot water and I wring the mop every 3-4 passes... I like to dry the floor a bit.. I have a microfiber dust/mop that picks up the water and leaves the floor clean/dry.... good luck

Get a plastic mop bucket that has a simple lattice-hole type attachment on the top. Don't they have them at your supermarket? If not, ask at a hardware store. Use a mop head that has wettex type strips. Use an antibacterial floor cleaner available in most supermarkets. Use hot water. When you are done mopping, refill the bucket with just hot water and slosh the mop up and down until it is rinsed well, then squeeze out in the attachment. Your hands never touch the darned mophead. Tip the dirty water down the toilet and flush.

I have dogs and I have hard wood floors. I clean those damn floors ALL the time. This is what I do. I have an extra long Swiffer thing. (I don't know if you can still get the long size, so use the small size.) Rip an old, but quality terry towel to length. Dampen the towel in clean water and clean the floor. Rinse the towel as needed. I have about 10 lengths ripped and when they are all dirty I run them through th clothes washer. The floors are streak free and look pretty darn good.

Fill up the bucket with scortching hot water. Add your favorite cleaner. Mop the floor. I mix chemicals and I advise you not too. But for the bathroom I use Bleach, Ammonia, Comet, Original Scent Pine sol Lemon Scent, Other Pine cleaners and lemon scented Mr Clean with water. I swish that bucket around..mop the bathroom. There you go! BUT I advise you NOT too mix chemicals...Im trying too stop too.

Well you fill a bucket full of water and you use that to rinse the mop off in and basically you just run the wet mop over the hard ground.

Use the Swifter Mop with the disposable cloth. The Wet Jet one. It is great. No wringing out the mop and all that nasty stuff. Go to www.swiffer.com for some money saving coupons.
Happy cleaning!

I use a neutral floor cleaner like Armstrong for vinyl floors.
First fill bucket or sink.Mop floor in a figure 8 pattern( it cleans better and leaves no film). Wood floors, very little water wring it out good.Ceramic floors you can use bleach if grout is white.Swiffters is like reusing toilet paper over and over.

Ooooh, hon, that is old fashion! Throw away that old bucket and mop thing. Get yourself to the supermarket or places such as WalMart and look at all the WONDERFUL new types of mops on the market. You'll be glad you did.
