Maybe 'the stone' is symbolic of the verbal, physical and mental hurt we can inflict on others.

The stone can be recovered if you look hard enough
The spoken word is subject to interpretaion
The occassion lives on in your memories
and you can make up for lost time, live in the past or look to the future.
All is not gone, it just depends how you see it
Is the glass half empty. or half full, or is it time to top up your drink?

Papa Chuck, I hate to disagree with you esp. on your birthday but your statement is only 75% true. That stone, for instance, it could always be recovered unless it had been thrown to the Philippine Deep. For one thing, a stone is a tangible object and therefore, recoverable --- unlike intangibles - words, occasions and time - which are indeed forever gone once they have been uttered, lost or spent.

"Take this cup away from me, for I don't want to take its poison," is a line from Jesus Christ Superstar. If only I could ask that the question be passed, but the plume has shed its ink, the die cast, and I can only hope others would not throw tomatoes at me, for I am the least worthy to answer this question.

Those above me had answered all, and too correctly.

Guilty as charged! Hit me, hurt me, nail me to the tree! But don't block me, please? Anyone out there blocking me? How can I rectify what's wrong you see in me, if you block me?

So true, that we have to be mindful of what we say and do and what we let pass by because they can and will hurt other people, specially if they are our loved ones, and that we can never undo the wrong or make up for the lost opportunity.

affected plenty? concept so. yet because this is one question you (or the few dozen different Filipinos you be conscious of) could now not be certain, i'm assuming which you all actually have confidence you're greater useful than us because you're "Americanized". hahaha... there are 2 forms of Filipinos who to migrate: people who left because of the fact they have been given a tremendous gamble they did now not choose to remorseful approximately passing by using, and people who left because of the fact they think of there's now not something for them here. between a common Filipino in the Philippines and a common American in america, who do you think of has a harder existence? the place is social welfare virtually non-existent, uncomplicated centers are privatized, and a extreme college degree isn't reliable adequate to start up a occupation in something? you in many cases mock us Filipinos for being lazy and all, yet i wager you by no skill knew that stressful artwork for the traditional Juan would not oftentimes repay here. that's the precise opposite of what your mama would desire to have advised you... because you're in america the place you may nevertheless turn burgers and earn adequate to do some thing clever with it. perhaps that's why you call your self "flipper". (no pun meant to community fastfood workers) i do now not think of every person here incredibly supplies a rattling if we're not greater useful in soccer, economics, air high quality (regardless of the hell you mean by using that), training, social courses, housing, or clinical establishments than the US, Canada, Australia, or Europe. we are a united states of persons so used to hell on the earth whilst being waiting to administration it with a slower-paced existence style and a greater useful experience of appreciate, it merely makes people who depart slightly harder whilst they settle someplace else no count if or now not they are in a place to hack it here or now not. too undesirable they finally end up having ungrateful "Westernized" young infants who have not any concept what it quite is like here and function the balls to diss an entire united states.
