If you think that you are pregnant than you shouldn't be drinking and you should find out ASAP if you are carrying. Now on the other hand - don't worry about what you did before you were pregnant or while you didn't know you were pregnant. Too many people worry about these things but as long as you are doing all you can do to be healthy while you are pregnant thats what counts. However when you are pregnant I am told you can drink a 1/2 glass a wine a day...if you really need your fix. Other than that i'd stay away from it for now. Just think about your little one. Good Luck.

It can. There isn't enough evidence to say how much alcohol is too much. Each one is different. Basically it comes down to if the baby is meant to be ok, then it will. A lot of people used to drink during pregnancy and had healthy babies. Its not advised to do so, but if it is already done prior to knowing about the pregnancy as long as its minimal, the baby should be ok.

To those of you who answer questions, without knowing what
the **** you're talking about - THIS IS NOT an OPINION question! She wants to know! How many babies that are deformed/handicapped/mentally disabled have YOU taken care of?
NO, it isn't.
If you have any suspicion you might be pregnant, DO NOT DRINK! [ or take any drugs ]. The earliest weeks are most important - the 'groundwork' for all baby's systems begins then.
Either use extremely reliable birth control, or don't drink.

I didnt know I was pregnant and had a few drinks and even took prescription weight loss pills (speed) and my baby seems to be just fine. Its important that you just don't drink any now and make sure to tell your doc that you did drink before you found out so he can check for complications and assure you everything will be OK!!

Drink sensibly should be daily guideline.
If you are pregnant but you don't know it, meaning you don't intend to hurt any unknown baby but to have fun.
My answer is OK if you don't know you're pregnant.
It's NOT ok if you KNOW you're pregnant.
However, always remember to drink sensibly for daily life.
For if you drink too much and not knowing you're pregnant then you may miscarry. If you're lucky, the baby should be OK.

YES if you think you are pregnant or there is the slightest chance you should not drink at all - not even one glass as everything you drink goes to the baby

If you think you are pregnant, you stay away from alcohol. There are plenty of women who have not even suspected they were pregnant and got drunk before they knew and their babies were fine but if you think there is a chance of pregnancy it is not worth the risk

no, this happens to a lot of women who haven't found out they were pregnant...just don't be drinking during and throughout your pregnancy...that is what harms the baby over time!

Yes! If you suspect that you are pregnant... Please do not drink. You can put yourself at risk for miscarriage, not to mention put the baby at risk for fetal alcohol syndrome..
