can someone add a tracker software to my computer to track what i type on the computer,or where i go on the internet?i've heard of this from somewhere on one of my friends and i was just curious about it.i'm just wondering if it is true that you can be tracked on where-ever you go on the computer,or the internet.
the friend that told me this said that they was tracked on every step that they made on the internet, and exactly what they typed on certain forums also.they said that their husband caught a bunch of things on there that they had done, that the husband would not have known before.so,i'm just wondering if one can.
thanks in advance for your help.

You can track at different levels depending on your needs. If you want to track just the visited sites, you can enable logging on your router and browser or you can force the use of a proxy service to log visits. To capture every bit of information though, you would need a key logger application. That would enable recreating just about any history including passwords before they are sent (not encrypted at that point).

As a basic track though, you could check browser history, cookies, etc.... If you are worried about someone deleting the information, you could also do disk recovery searched to locate particular files.

If you have the right tools and "know how", you can't really hide what you are doing without a great deal of effort.
