in the order of conquest...

1.Greece = Athens, Spartans...

2.Aegean civilization, Ionians, Creta civilization = minor islands on the east Mediterranean. These were the first European civilizations

3.Assyria = Assyria was already a huge empire with advanced technology, mighty army, and great wealth when Greece was still a land of barbarians

4.Jews

5.Ancient Egypt = possibly the first empire in human history, Egypt was still the richest land...Egypt had everything except for a good government and powerful army

6.Persian Empire (3,4,5 were under Persian control) = Persia, the mightiest empire at the time, was way superior to Greece(and all other civilizations) in almost every way. Think of it as USA in 21st century. Alexander could prove himself as one of the greatest military leaders ever born...by defeating this empire which seemed invincible

7.Invade Northern India(failed)
One of the most developed ancient civilizations, India almost equaled Persian wealth, knowledge, technology, and infrastructure. When Alexander invaded India, the first empire Indians built just fell down...and India was divided into various small nations competiting each other.

I can't get into anything specific but his conquests were a lot. He practically took half of the known ancient world at a young age.

I do know that he took Persia and Alexandria, Egypt. He tried to take India but it didn't work out.

Sorry, my knowledge of ancient history is limited.

There is much too much to list here, but this page summarizes his life pretty well.

Also, I wouldn't put too much faith into wikipedia. Although a great site, it's information is lacking, as it's written by people who don't always specialize in the subject they talk about.
