in my oppinion, i know they might taste nice but the figure of the calories dont look nice.

fuel of britain? yes, fuel of children but the children dont expend the calories they have dijested and instead of going to the park to play a game with friends or someone, they sit at home playing on consoles and drink fizzy drinks with lots of sugar in them.

the markets now and days are always coming up with a gimmik to keep the children at the store buying their food.
with mcdonalds its the crappy happy meal with the toy which they are paying about a penny for 3000000 off the chinease markets.

cookie making kits and cake making kits.
eat my fatty cookies inspired my bat man or sponge bob square pants. i think all parents should say a firm "NO" to chidren in the supermarkets when they cry if they dont get their sugar fix for the hour. or , they just dont take them shopping.

please tell me your views on fast food

I think it's okay from time to time but not on a regular basis. Parents need to take control of their kids and not the other way round which is happening in other aspects of daily life. The trouble is that I don't think that kids are eating that differently from when I was a child in the 70's - in fact in some cases better because they get fruit at school, encouraged to eat 5 a day and there are so many healthier products in the supermarket aimed at kids. When I was little we were brought up on pie mash and veg, alphabet spaghetti and banana and sugar sandwiches! The trouble is that as parents we are petrified to let our kids leave the house so buy them the latest gadgets to keep them happy and quiet thus we have an obesity epidemic. I wish for a time like it was in the 70's when we played outside all day and I would love my kids to be able to do the same. I do try and take them out regularly swimming and for bike rides but unfortunately many parents are LAZY.

Sorry, but I must defend the fast food generation. I have played electronic games since 1984, (i'm 27), I danced at a Wimpey Party, I still drink a 750ml bottle of Irn Bru (E derivatives) a day yet, I did not eat a McDonalds Big Mac until after I was old enough to smoke, (96, I have never smoked), the problem I feel with the kids of today isn't scary ron mac, its the fact no parent seems able to let their kid walk to school. I walked to school at the age of 5 and I'm still alive.

The answer is don't drive your kids to the shops or fast food places, as its clear they can't find their way to school without being drove there, they wont find a McY Dys

I don't like Ronald Mc Donald. I think he's sinister. I'd love to see Mr. Wimpy come back from the dead and knock seven bells out of him!

Fast food used to be an occasional treat when I grew up in the 1980s- now kids seem to eat it as a staple diet.

I really think that the young people shouldn't be influenced like that (big happy clown that children obviously like). It easy to see the outcome of what they are going to want to do; Go eat it at the clown house!!!!I don't eat much fast food myself.I think it is really gross how bad it is for you.Once in a while I do because I get so freakin hungry. This should not happen more than once a week.Even that is pushing it.Thanks for listening to my answer, hopefully it is something you want to hear.

It's a great business model, but the food isn't great from a health standpoint. From a business standpoint, they have the price down right so that they are able to make a good profit after the sale. My family doesn't eat there because of the health reasons though.

Fast food places have many healthy options now, for critics like you. Instead of fries, you can get apples or mandarin oranges. Instead of a soda, you can get juice or milk. Some even have healthier sandwich options too. It just depends on the parent. If the parent does not care, then they go for the fries and soda. I personally don't want my kid eating that junk so we go for the healthier options. I do too, gotta set the example, right?

Ronald= Scary!!! Plus their food is gross and like you said full of calories that's why the risk of child obesity keeps growing!!! scary what the world has come too. if only children could understand the movie Fast Food Nation, that'll keep 'em from wanting their happy meals.

I agree with you that parents need to be the ones to get their children to eat better. Fast food is convenient, but you shouldn't be eating it everyday, and if you do, your body will suffer. I hate it that the government is making laws about junk food instead of making parents responsible. I personally liked KFC better before it got rid of the trans fats, and now the government has taken that away from me.

anything in moderation i think, healthy food should be the mainstay of any diet.
i used to cook with my mum, not kits but we would make cakes
when i was young it was (or appeared to be) safer to play out and a games console was a TV game with stick tennis on it so not so enticing to spend hours on playing like a x box.
only one thing in McD defence i had a baby in hospital and their charity provides rooms/houses for parents of sick children to stay in the hospital so they can be near so i for one am grateful

I thought that they got rid Ronald McD because of the perv overtones of the character.

Lets face it, a freaky clown offers your child a burger... what are you going to do? I know I'M going to tw*t the pervert.
