I'm a programmer so an integer to me would be a whole number, right?

So a basic situation would be in a bank. You deposit (add to your account whole integers or cents) and withdraw or add negative integers to your account. Simple enough, just need to use your head ounce in a while.

YA points.

I answered 5 questions at +2 each, and asked 1 at -5 each.

I'm left with 5*2 + -5 = 10 + -5 = 5

one situation: say you were running a business, and each night a closing you add up the total amount of money that was made or lost. for example on Monday you made $500, but on Tuesday you lost $20, and Wednesday you made $476 and on Thursday you lost $35 and on Friday you made $1389. you would write it like this $500 + -$20 + $476 +-$35 + $1389= $2310

Did they get a first down?
Yes, 8 + (-12) +(-3) + 19 = 12
