I bought the special chuck to do it but it didnt come with instructions

I don't have that brand but I have an equivalent Black & Decker that I had looked inside recently. If yours is equivalent it is impossible. The way that it does right hand bits is by where the grinding wheel is with respect to the drill bit. To do left hand bits you would either have to have a differently shaped grinding wheel or move the relative positions of the bit and wheel - and that is impossible.

I would go with the guy who said throw out the drill bit and get a new one.

Given the price of drill bits, I would throw it away and buy a new one.
