I started hating the Red Sox back in 1978. I think we Yankee fans hate them because of the wars we've had over the last decade or so. Plus, BAWston's fans have been just as nasty to us as we have been to them. AT work, I'm surrounded by RedSox fans who never existed prior to 2004, and gave me hell in the first part of the season. Now, they're shaking in their chowder!! Greatest rivalry in sports!!

I'M a big time Yankee fan and don't hate the Redsox or their Fans. I've met a bunch of Sox fans on 360 and theyre a pretty good bunch who dig their team just like I do with the Yankees. No hatred here.

You're redundantly repeating yourself over and over again with the question.
The answer is the media. There are 27 other teams outside of Boston and New York, but you would never know it by them. I would hate the Kansas City Royals if that's all anyone ever talks about 24/7! I really don't need to know every time Derek Jeter scratches his butt or A-Rod picks his nose - Sorry.

Ah yes, I feast on this question. Here I go
I am a White Sox and Yankees fan. So, you can easily say I hate the Red Sox cause I'm a Yankee fan, and, besides, you can't like both Sox, can you?
But, really, I don't like the Red Sox because many of the newer generation fans can be really cocky. Us Yankee fans generally just expect a win, appreciate good leaders (a la Derek Jeter, who knows the Yanks can still win the East) and good play by the players. Red Sox fans, from some I've seen, think so much of their team (somewhat deserved, a lot, though, undeserved) and can be cocky at games. I talk with am Angels fan via e-mail who hates the Red Sox like I do, and his experiences say that at one Halos game the Sux fans started "a dozen or so brawls" in the stands. And this was at that Rat yard in Anaheim. They get pissed for fans rooting for their team in THEIR stadium.
Basically, I hate the Red Sox mostly for the cocky fans. Not all fans are, but I'd say 25% are very cocky

i think they "play the puppy" too much, i mean that they act like the lowly poor underdog to the yankees too much, don't get me wrong, i take them over the yankees any day but they spent like 50 million dollars just to talk to a pitcher! how do you do that and expect sympathy from underdog supporters like me?

I rate them 0 because I love the yankees and hate the sox, which should be renamed the sux. They might be in first but not for long. The Yankees will prevail!!!!!!
