I have a question about Hyland's teething tablets. My son is teething real bad and someone recommended hylands. I was just wondering will the tablets still work if I dont' get the tablets exactly under the tounge? My baby is 5 months and its very hard to get the tablets under the tounge. They often end up either in his jaw or on the tounge. Will they still work?

They never seem to stay under my son's tongue either but work just fine. Just some other pointers I've learned about Hyland's....the pharmaicist told me that even though it says 1-3 at a time you can use 4 or 5 and it won't hurt at all. Also, the doctor told me that it is ok to use tylenol along with them!

Hyland's teething tablets are very safe. I found them with my second daughter and used them with my son as well. They did calm them quickly and helped them sleep. They get good releif from the pain and can finally relax. I think that is why they put them to sleep. The same thing happened with my children. I was much more happy with these. They worked even when teething gels, and pain relievers like Tylenol would not. I was extremely happy to find this product.

I used these tablets on all 3 of my kids, and always they end up in their cheek. As long as they dissolve and they get the medicine, they will work. They recommend under the tongue so the tiny pill doesn't fall back into their throat because they can choke. I used to start the dissolving with a TINY bit of water and then put it in their mouth.

I used them all the time for my three boys and the NEVER ended up under there! I always just pu tthem in the side of their checks, the only thing was it almost made their mouth white like they had thrush but they did work also you can get rid of the white with a wash cloth, just make it a cold one and he won't mind at all!

I used a teether that is put in the refrigerator between uses. The cold helps cool the gums and ease the pain plus providing chewing to help the teeth come through.

I had to put them on my son's tounge and they worked just fine. I usually gave him his night-time bottle when I gave him the tablets so they would disolve faster.

It really doesnt matter, but in my opinion those things are crap! The only thing that worked for my twins when they were teething and in lots of pain was tylenol and letting them knaw on a frozen bananna

I really don't worry if they are under her tongue, I just put them in my daughters mouth and they dissolve. They have worked very well for my daughter this way, so I doubt it makes a difference.
