The climax is the story's high point just before you begin to bring it down and wind it up to the conclusion. The complication should be what leads to the climax eventually. It usually involves both the protagonist and the antagonist in the ultimate show down and it should definitely be the most exciting part of the story. The climax is the "it all comes down to this" part of the story.

none of those. In my opinion the climax is when things start to get more complicated and the protagonist is faced with obstacles that stand in the way of completing specific tasks. The antagonists isn’t always directly connected to the climax. I've read books that start climaxing after the antagonist is defeated.

I think the climax changes with each reader
