This came from the dirty unwashed dope- head little rich kid promiscuous hippies of the 60's.
They were the "Jesus Freaks". They knew nothing about the Jesus.

But these little un-bathed freaks lived, doped, and had sex in groups. They started comparing themselves to Jesus and his disciples.
They considered themselves as communists/liberals, and they just adopted Jesus.
It's all a bunch of Liberal/Communist Bull.
No one has ever been as Conservative as Jesus.
In my opinion. I am not a religious person.

But I will never be a hypocrite like liberals.

Hello! Liberal here. I don't think Jesus was a long haired hippie. He was from the middle east so therefore he was dark skinned, not white with flowing blondish brown hair. I doubt he had a smart haircut (can anybody define smart haircut?) since barber shops and salons didn't exist. And if he had a smart business sense, after turning a few fish and some loaves of bread into enough to feed everybody he would have charged them for it. Just like a republican. Jesus is just like them and vice versa. Why do you believe in an invisible man living in the sky? Sounds more like you are the drugged out hippie to me.

They don't read the Bible and they have no idea the work that is involved in carpentry which in those days was any work involving wood and all done with hand tools. They have only heard the Sunday school spiel and seen pictures of the blond haired blue eyed Jesus that fit the look of the people and time it was painted in not Jesus or the way he looked. In his time it was considered ill of a person to have hair on their shoulders or an untrimmed beard.

Yes Jesus was a tough wall street person. Did you not know that the Apostles were a major corporation that lived in the Nazareth highrise.

The fact is that Jesus probably looked like the people that we have been blasting the crap out of. As for the Conservative version of Jesus, he cared about the poor and walked and talked with people deemed undesirable. He also challenged the power elite. Hardly the image you think of with the Conservatives or the power elite.

As for the picture of Jesus, like someone said go to a church, look at Renaissance painting. You will never see a clean shaven Jesus Christ.
