When I do not like either candidates, I look for third party candidates. It gives the third party system hope. Third party and independents are making headway. Look at liberman and Ventura.

In that case, you vote for whoever you believe is the lesser of two evils. If you believe no candidate can change the major circumstances, vote for someone who at least represents some of the things in which you believe, even if in the end they won't make a huge difference.

Opinions spread like viruses. Don't be afraid to give yours in as powerful a way as voting.

No candidate can actually change the circumstances. I am assuming you mean about the war. The troops cannot be pulled out of Iraq for several years, no matter what any politician is saying to get elected. It is totally unfeasible, no matter how much we would like it.

You can do write ins......you just have to make sure that the fit all the criteria for a valid candidate.

I voted for my grandfather for President.......2 or 3x.....
till he passed away. He fit all the criteria...over 35, american citizen, I can't remember what else, but he was a valid candidate.

I have a hard time voting for people I don't believe in.
Check out this guy......I'm thinking he might be a valid vote

Until the Government Officials realize that they work for us and not the other way around, I'm afraid we're in for alot of the same. Your dilemma faces alot of us and is one of the biggest reasons for the lack of voters turning out. I love the Grandpa answer....I voted for Pat Paulsen a few times myself.
For that matter we could have probably had Howard Stern for NY's Governor if he pursued it.

I would just try to decide then which of the candidates are least likely to make a bad situation even worst. Simply put

There is one... I would suggest looking seriously at Dennis Kucinich. He will have my support in the primary.

You should vote.
We all know that one person cannot change things and we have no control over those in other states.
Vote and hope. All we can do.

True, true. Wouldn't it be easier if there was a "none of the above" choice?
