I like them both. Pearl is kind of an old-fashioned name, but not popular right now so I think that's good! A friend of a friend names all of their kids after precious gemstones (including Pearl). That's kind of cute and strange too.
As for Angel, I had a friend who was a piano player and her name was Engel. It was the German spelling of Angel. I liked that better than Angel.

Pearl has a nice, old-fashioned flavor.
In areas with a lot of Hispanics, you'll find a lot of boys named Angel (an-hel). Might make a difference.
Also, names like Angel and Jesus (hey-sus) sound a little pretentious to me.
