I have a large angle fish (3-3 1/2 in.) in a 10 gallon tank. I used to have 4 neons in the tank while setting it up, and my angle fish seems to like to eat them. I was wondering about some suggestions of other fish that I could add to this tank without my angle fish having a feast of live fish. Thank you in advance for your help.

I have an Angel that is approx. 6 years old...I got it when it was a baby....He/she is huge!!!! probably about 5 inches NOT including any tails or fins...I have a shark with it...He is also 6 years old and in a 10 gallon....approx. 8 inch. long....I had frogs that lived for 4 years and were fine....Your best bet is to speak to someone at the store that you go to.... as an example: I was advised not to get a Alage eater because they can hurt the frogs...

How many degrees is your Angle fish? Get yourself a protractor...

Angelfish get about 6 inches long, and will be miserable in a 10 gallon tank. If you aren't willing to get a 30 gallon for it and a buddy Angelfish, you should give your Angel away. Then, fill your empty 10 gallon tank with tropical community fish like Dwarf Gouramis, Tetras, Rasboras, Cory Cats, and even some peaceful Barb species. Email me if you have any questions.

Angle fish are cichlids.
and with all cichlids they may seek out and kill any fish that is not there own kind.
A 10 gal is to small for an angle fish they can get 6 inches long as adults.
so in such a small tank the angle will probly kill anything that is smaller than it just to have the room.
anything you add is going to have to be as big or biger than the angle and your tank is really to small but if you have to add another fish get another angle about the same size.

If you can't afford a larger tank for your fish, give it away. Ten gallons is not enough water for a large Angelfish.
