not in any particular order...Scarface, Heat, Casino, Goodfellas, Gotti, Blow, Donnie Brasco, A Bronx Tale, Empire, Traffic, The Freshman, The Departed, The Client.Carleettos Way.the Untouchables.... about organized crime-even if some maybe considered gangster .... The Shield is a good example of a tv show.....Hot Boyz with Snoop Dogg/ Sillk the Shocker has a good story line....Shaft...Training Day....Suicide Kings...Belly..Snatch....Basic is a military movie with some organizational similairities to mafia tactics...a chep knock off is Dick Tracy lol...crank is another one that show mafia order...and Smokin' Aces is action packed....but the later ones i listed shed no comparison to the first few- theyll always be classics......

The Godfather I BOOK and film The Godfather II film Goodfellas for authenticity The Untouchables film. The sequence in the stairs at the rail station is magnificent.

its more of a biography, but i highly reccomend "underboss" by peter maas, he wrote it with sammy gravano about testifying against john gotti. he also wrote "the valacci papers" which is also very good.
