Can you ovulate while on your period?
I'm in the same situation and I don't understand it. This is my 2nd cycle ttc and I am on CD 12. I purchased the OPK for the first time and used it on CD 10, 11, and 12. Each day my lines are lighter and lighter. It doesn't make sense because I have a 28 day cycle always, except for this month it was 26 days. I drink 64 ounces of h2o everyday and have been doing the tests between noon and 2pm on each of those days. I held off on drinking water and peeing 4 hours before I took the tests. The first day I had a light line, but it was negative and it has been progressively lighter since on days 11 and 12. I'm panicking because I'm supposed to ovulate around CD 14-17 based on my previous months of reading my body and CM. I'm just so confused because it feels like I've missed my oppurtunity for this month to conceive before it even began.

While anything is possible, you're not usually fertile right after your period.

I'm wondering if your urine is still too diluted. Not everyone is a textbook case...for me, 4 hours is still too soon. I have to wait more like 5, 6 is even better before testing.

Here's what I would suggest.... keep testing. You're on CD 12, keep going. Try testing when it's been 5 or 6 hours, definitely watch that fluid intake, and lastly--you may want to try testing twice a day. Once at noon and again at 6pm.

It's possible too that you're having an off cycle this month, it happens. You could either keep testing or chalk this up to an off month and wait till next time.

Good luck.

Sometimes women have spotting while ovulating, so go ahead and have sex now. Many women that have spotting during ovulation wrongly believe that they are on their period and are suprised to find out they are pregnant in a couple of weeks.
