Hello, I'm learning about Java Server Pages and I need a place to play with some example code -- does anyone know of a *FREE* webhost thats supports JSP? Even a site with pathetically low bandwidth restrictions, small disk space, ads on the page, etc will suffice -- I just want to avoid installing the servers on my machine if it can be helped. Thanks.

I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a site that provides free JSP hosting. In fact, you'll be pressed to find one that does it for money.

*most* people looking for free web hosting, are PHP people doing hobby sites (you get what you pay for)

*most* JSP/java people are non-hobby, corporate/business people, and so self-host or co-host.

There used to be a number of free JSP hosts several years ago, but even the few I knew about are now defunct or "apparently abandoned".

I don't think it can be helped installing the server (no s, you only need a single server) on your machine. And once you've got in on your machine, you have it for free, and none of those bad things you mention like low bandwidth, small disk space, ads. not to mention all the uptime you want.

It's really *not* that hard, I'd encourage you to try
