How to tell if an item is valuable at op shops!!!!?

I am going to start buying items that i think is intresting or valuable and re-sell them on ebay. The only thing i need too know now is that how do you tell if an item is valuable or rare, like are there any signs or marks on a certain item that might give you a hint to whether the item might have a decent value also are there any items that i should look out for when i am looking?

When you see something interesting, run home and look it up on Ebay. If it's selling, go back and grab it. I did this with a pile of Drew Bledsoe Patriots ball caps that showed up in Goodwill after he left the Patriots. Also a whole rack of L L Bean laptop shoulder bags.

After a while, you will begin to know when something is valuable and you won't have to run home and look it up.
