It's alright...I mean, it's only a year!
I have a friend who's going out with a guy one year younger than him. They're doing great...and if you're worried if someone's making fun of you, don't. The only thing we make fun of my friend is if she ran home =)...but we're weird like that.

Wrong category, however, the age thing has prevented many, many potentially happy couples from enjoying life ! The subject SHOULD NOT BE AGE, BUT MATURITY, SELF RESPECT,and A HEALTHY OUTLOOK ON LIFE, AND THE SURROUNDING'S AS A WHOLE !!!
I gather by your question that you are young,(I am 69 and a male) and somewhat lost in the world of relationships. NO INSULT INTENDED !!! Only said so you understand the following : I at, 66 years of age, met, and 8 months later, married a lady 40 years old. Had this "Age- within XX years" been adhered too, we would continue to be lonely, miserable and "grumpy" !!!
Hope this gives you some insight into looking at others.

As long as he's mature and you have things in common, I'd try it out. My dad married a woman 4 years older than him, and my sister married a guy who is 2 years younger... Age shouldn't be a deciding factor in your relationship.

My girlfriend's dating me and I am 10 years younger. She's 32 I'm 22. But everything has been better than all my past relationships. If it works and feels right, then go with it. However the fact that you posted you "somewhat like him". Maybe it's not time yet.
Good Luck!

My first two boyfriends were younger than me by a year or two. Didn't cause any special problems...just meant that I had more freedom from my parents than they did.

it doesn't make a difference... if you have a connection what does it matter? I wouldn't advise you to go out with him though just cause of the way your speaking about him... "I some what like him" "he's ok"... sounds as if you'd be going out with him just to kill time. Or just giving into his constant attempts to date you.

hard to say. i don't know how old you are. if your under age the same may not apply.
in my own experience, dating someone one year younger than me ended badly. he was too immature. yours make not be the same case.

I don't think one year makes so much difference. My husband is one year older than I am and I like it that way.
