"Bush is the greatest President in American history"
How can anyone really believe that?

I've got one I still laugh about. A raving Liberal made the most unintentionally hilarious statement about Reagan. He actually concedes it was Reagan who was responsible for ending the Cold War by being so stubbornly tough on Russia, but then gives the credit to Gorbachev!

Here's what I wrote:

I absolutely had to answer this question when I read the response from "l33tnimda", who epitomizes Liberal "thinking". Instead of praising Reagan for standing tough with the Russians and forcing them to concede defeat in the Cold War, dismantle their empire, and set free their satellite countries in Eastern Europe, he wrote this about Reagan instead: "He kept the Cold War going and preserved the Us Vs. Them mentality that is even stronger today. I am sure the Cold War would still be going if Gorbachev had not thrown in the towel."

Is that hilarious or what? As Margaret Thatcher observed, Reagan "won the Cold War without firing a shot", but "l33tnimda", admits that Reagan's efforts ended the Cold War, but gives the credit to Gorbachev. Absolutely astounding. Reagan out-negotiated the befuddled Russian leader, but this guy gives credit to the loser. Unreal.

This is just like if the Chicago Bulls won against the Charlotte Hornets. But instead of cheering for the Bulls playing a superior game, the fans rushed the Hornets and praised them for not playing well enough, hence allowing the Bulls to win. It's crazy Liberal "thinking".

I asked this question:
Do you think it is a good idea to give Muslims immunity to arrest while on Ramadan?

Manchester Police confirmed it had asked detectives not to make planned arrests during those periods for reasons of religious sensitivity.

I received this "justification":
Could be because then the Police have to provide for food at Iftar (time when the fast is opened after sunset) and again before dawn (sehri) the next early morning. In which case they would have to deploy a person to arrange for food for the Muslim detainee while the others would be eating on regular timings.

I just found another one right here on this page!!: ‘I'd have to say the most ridiculous posts are the ones about communism being alive and well in the Democratic party.’ – pOrkrOd, read here: http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=6497 – among many others. I think it's ridiculous how some people keep trying to blame Bush's screw-ups on Clinton. For example, they try often try to blame 9/11 on Clinton, even though Clinton warned Bush about bin Laden as he was leaving the White House. Also, never mind the fact that Bush failed to find bin Laden and instead invaded a country that was in no way involved in the attacks!

that homosexuality is normal and it's not a sin... that people are born that way... that they should be given the right to legally marry or have a civil union... that homosexuals are not perverts, and they don't molest children.

also that abortion is a 'right', that it is helpful to the woman who murders her unborn child, that abortion is not killing a human...that abortion is not a sin.

that socialism would be good for the U.S., that socialism would provide good things for the people, and that socialism would make everything alright. ALSO that the SOCIALIST program of social insecurity insurance is a good thing and that it can be saved when in fact it is in debt $SEVENTY FIVE TRILLION

i have seen quite a few republicans make assertions that bush's presidency has been good, when he is a globalist and he has put this country in more debt than EVER before, and made federal government bigger and more cumbersome than EVER before.

I like Hillary is a socialist, and the Republicans will prevail in 2008, and are leading in the polls, but never show a link.

Mine would be the Democrats that say that Republicans link Iraq to 9/11. Ive never seen a anyone make that claim but it doesnt stop liberals from repeating it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

The second would be the liberals that say Clinton balanced the budget without Reagans policies. How ignorant can those people be? Did they just NOT take economics 101 or are they truly that inept?

The most ludicrous and ridiculous claim is that the 'War on Terror", is an actual war, and that it is winnable!

How can you declare war on a noun? And at what point do you know you have won?

1. People who still think that Bush lied to get us into Iraq; and,
2. People who think that the government always has to tell us what they're doing and why.

a poster made the statement that gays couldn't be faithful because bush wouldn't let them get legally married and that is why there are std's among gays.

i think anyone who prefaces their statements with the words, 'always', 'every', 'never' tends to exaggerate their views.
