I am not sure what is wrong with me. I can't seem to erect the tent I have. The pole seems to be working fine, but I can't figure out how to make it stand up. It didn't come with instructions and i am afraid if I handle it too much more it will never stand up. I tried some of the stuff they have online but it was out of my price range.

Did you happen to have used your tent pole for other, non-tent-erecting purposes recently? Sometimes that can cause undue strain on it or it can get exceptionally dirty, which may cause the problems you're having.

Dear Doctor, Sorry you are having trouble. You need to shove the long pole straight up the middle of the tent. It will stand just fine once you get it going. Viola.

It's difficult to erect a tent when you're drunk. Once you figure it out take a picture of it for me.

To HELL with that pole! Simply lie down on your back in the center of the tent, unzip your trousers, and wait until you wake up in the morning!

Return it, it sounds broke and NOBODY likes to mess with a broken tent. It's just not worth the hassle

i think the problem is that you need a guy to help you erect it. i don't think this is something you've tried before.
