No it is not you, just watching the news here in Uk made me think the same thing, shootings, killings and all this in the Uk when we left our lovely home in SA for a supposedly safe place. How sad, i read today that there has never been so many Brits emigrating as their has been in the last few years. I love Britain and don't want to leave it.:))

For a world that has embraced irrationalism, it is reaping what has been sown. You cannot remain sane unless your philosophy contains a guiding principle to tell you when the train has left the tracks. Reason is such a guid; I believe it is the only guild that can lead a human mind toward sanity. In a world of hatred and greed; where faiths become twisted to serve the purpose of those who wield power, reason can help us know where the line must be drawn and a stand taken.

It's a MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD, world. alright!!! we have come to the conclusion that we need to keep prgressing toward eminent destruction of the world, slowly, but surely. if we know just how to take good, really good, care of ourselves then we will not need hospitals, schools, churches. Only parks and recreation. How does that sound?

No, it is actually getting better, but more technologically enhanced to the point of somebody filming or photographing every little thing that goes wrong, so you are hearing much more now than you ever did before; and people are seeing so much on TV that they now realize that something that was done to them was not kosher, take for instance all the child molesting that the priests were getting away with, I'm sure a lot of kids thought that it was OK even if they didn't like it, you know, coming from a priest, for chrissakes. A lot of moro- I mean, people who are not biologically gifted, don't realise that evolution is transferring us from savage animal minds to more benevolent, philanthropistic human minds. Think of us, in present tense, as being in our adolescent stage with a good portion being more advanced than the rest. This "good portion" is the proverbial light at the end of this quagmired tunnel that we are, undoubtedly, in. As I said before in another philosophical answer, The future looks bright, but don't worry about needing your shades, you won't get to see it.

The world has been mad for 1000's of years.
It's just that we get to hear every bad thing now, constantly, on the news, radio and television.
All we can do is stay sane ourselves and keep our values on the right track.
Don't worry, it will only make you sad.
