I have a very old laptop, it has Windows 3.1 and nearly all the programs run from an early version of DOS.
The desktop is more current. Both are IBM compatible.
It can be interfaced using, (I think), a program called "BRIEFCASE" - which is missing from my desktop. The cable to be used is a double-female with two plugs; a nine-pin (female) and a twenty-five pin female (on both ends).

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR is how to use the cable I've GOT to interface this ancient laptop with the desktop I've got now. I'm not looking to do computer surgery or buy expensive hardware - I just want to get my shtuff on the desktop.
