I often hear stories about terrorists who witnessed maybe a muslim child getting killed by israelis or something, and is distraught....which seems to very very human and compassionate and loving, but how do you turn around and say the thing I am going to do is walk into a crowded square and shoot 4 innocent women, who have smalll children of their own?

How can you be the compassionate young man who grieved to have a young girl die in your arms, and be the executioner of mothers of other young kids or maybe even the kids themselves?

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. I am sure at the time the heroes of our American Revolution were considered terrorists to the British.

It's all a matter of context. Think about it.......You go to the doctor and take off your clothes in front of him and let him stick objects up your rear end. If anyone else did this, it would be considered sexual abuse or rape, but in the context of a medical exam it's considered acceptable and even desirable.

It's the same thing with terrorists. They have a belief system that gives them a context inside which actions that otherwise seem horrible make sense and are good. If they believe they're fighting for God, they're really no different than Christian martyrs of the past who died for their Christianity. They're also not that much different from American soldiers, who are also willing to kill and maim the innocent in the interests of national security or worldwide freedom. It's all a matter of how you look at things, and which goals you see as so important that everything else comes second.

He is ignorant and selfish to the needs of others. He is pursuing a myth called martyrdom. He is manipulated from birth to be a murderer by his elders and his religious leaders. He is schooled in the art of death and he buys the product of his own life having a meaning decided by others. His glory is fortune and attentive servants in his head, while his heart is turned to the memory of revenge passed down from generation to generation. He kills because he must fulfill his purpose. He is a fanatic.... And they are all wrong....
