I think it may depend on how it got wet. Just plain water? You have a chance. Make sure you dry it out completely.

Salt water (ocean)? The salt will corrode the insides. Diet soda? No sticky sugar residue so again you have a chance. Regular soda or coffee with cream and sugar? The sugar will gum up the insides.

So it really depends. If whatever got it "wet" has any kind of residue left over when it dries it probably won't work again.

It recently happened to me -- the cat knocked it off the counter and it landed in his water dish. Must have been there for awhile!

I live in florida so I took out the battery I first opened the case of the phone and tried drying in with the hair dryer got it back a little and then I dried out the phone on the dash of my car for 2 days until the LCD screen came back to life. The battery worked but didn't hold the charge as well as before, so I bought a new battery ........................So far so good!

No. The battery and memory card are not the problem. Its actually the internal parts of the phone that are damaged. What you will dry will be the external parts and actually all you will be doing is pushing the water down further in the phone anyway. Hope u have insurance! :)

I just saw a TV report about that. The suggestion was to remove the battery and to submerge both separately in uncooked rice for 24 hours which would supposedly take out the moisture. It certainly is worth the try.

Sometimes...

Make sure you remove the battery and dry out the battery and it's compartment, to avoid rusting that cause you phone to not work.

That method's worked for me a couple times. It probably depends on the phone and everything though. Good luck

I dropped mine in the toilet when I was vomiting during my last pregnancy. It never did work after that. I would give it a try though, you never know!
