i have just gpt back from holiday and it is so cold in england that on the first day back i have got a cold, my nose ir red and runny and im still so tired i feel dead, does any one no how to get rid of this cold so that i can finally get some sleep without having to wake up every hour to wipe my nose???

let it run it course, when one gets a cold your body is telling you that there's something toxic in it and it needs to get rid of it.

to prevent cold in the future, take some echnichnea and goldenseal.

to help detoxify, take some dandelion, red clover, and slippery elm.

Take a hot bath and add some epsom salts if you can for 30 minutes. The skin the largest detoxing organ in the body, so the hot bath will help you perspire and get rid of the extra toxins that you currently hold.

There is also a product that you can find at Vitamin World... call Source Naturals Wellness Formula. This contains a lot of garlic and other herbs that can help zap your cold.

Try to avoid eating solid food and stick with the soups and fruit juices. If you have a juicer, juice some organic apples and oranges. If not, buy some Naked juice or some other high quality juice at you local Henry's, Whole Foods, Sprouts...

Try to drink a gallon of water per day, room temperature.

This may sound wierd, but I get rid of a cold by drinking alcohol. The worse the cold, the more I drink. After a good bender I usually feel better (not the next day, but the day after that). Good luck, and have fun!

Hiya,
You need to get some Echinachia (check for spelling) from a health food store.
It really boosts your imune system and recovers from colds amazingly quickly. Also buy some Vitamin C and take them daily for one week.
Drink fruit juices and hot water with fresh lemon juice and honey.
You will be 100% better in a wink!

Your BEST remedy here- is SLEEP. Buy something at the drugstore to dry up your nose; drink LOTS of hot tea- & get ALL the sleep you can. At the very LEAST- you'll feel alittle better... :)

Zinc pills. Nothing else helps as much (except rest).
