it all depends on your view of progress...tv and movies seem to dictate opinions, lifestyles, fads, norms, selfishness, egos, sexuality/immorality, greed, and other not so progressive behaviors...for those of us who answer to a higher power think that hollywood hinders progress if heaven is where you aspire to one day be.

Hindering. The way they depict American life is leading young people to behave in a way that they see on the screen. They have convinced the young people that all the depravity shown in the movies is NORMAL. Hollywood writers, directors, producers, and actors have convinced them that the morals that their parents try to teach them are archaic and laughable.
The world also is being impacted by what is seen and what is taught through movies and TV. For example, the militant Islam movement sees all the deviant sexual practices depicted, and thinks that all Americans have "gone to hell in a hand basket".
They feel that it is their "job" to clean up the mess in America through killings and bombings. But truly, I agree with them, that sexual immorality is rampant. However, I of course do not agree that militant Islam is the answer. Jesus Christ, and him crucified, is the true answer to all of societies ills.
When Jesus Christ comes in the clouds and calls believers home, the rest of the world will have to deal with each other without the restraining power of the Holy Spirit here on earth. Then the real fireworks will begin. I pray that everyone reading this will accept the salvation offered by God's Holy Son, and escape the wrath to come. ><>♥<><

They should stay out of politics, their loony left opinions only make me despise them.
