How do I continue on the PokeMon Fire Red ROM?

Question

I finished the pokemon league, and it saved my game automatically, then the credits came. After that, the game resets itself. I know its normal, but my emulator doesnt supported the in game saving. I'm supposed to save the game using the emulator by "writing the state" inside the game. So when the game resets, I have to start from my last save point, instead of after the pokemon league. :(

What emulator are you using? I KNOW VisualBoy Advance supports in-game saving.

Thats strange cause when i beat the pokemon league in emerald version i continued on it
