since doing this the electric start has no effect ive been starting it by touching the terminals on the soleniod will this do any damage ?

AHHHHHHHHH
Maybe the solenoid is bad.
Not the 2 large terminals (batt & starter motor) - the one that connects to the wire harness.
Unplug it.
Jump one to ground & jump the other to battery positive.
The solenoid should activate and turn the starter motor.
If it doesn't - replace the solenoid.

Did you do all the things that we suggested the first time you told us about this? The throttle cable and the electric start circuitry have the right hand casting on the handle bar in common. Have you gone through all the connections inside there as I said?
