Man, Bossy was an amazing player back in his day, He was the only reason The islanders where a half decent team, and when he scored his 50 goal season, everyone in NY was cheering, so i think he was an amazing player and deserved alot better then to play with the islanders.

Bossy did fine without Trottier or do you forget the incredible season he and Sutter had after they lead Canada to a win in the Canada Cup?
Not a leader? Are you just guessing? Bossy did his leading by playing hard every shift and filling the net with pucks. In the end his back hurt so bad he just couldn't lace them up any more. Too bad because modern medicine could have helped him.

Mike Bossy was one of the greatest players to play the game. Had he not been injured, he would have broken Gordie Howe's goal record approximately 2 years before Wayne Gretzky did.
2nd highest goals per game average in NHL history
3rd highest points per game average in NHL history
First player to score 30 points in a playoff year
2nd highest goals per game average in NHL playoff history
3rd highest points per game average in NHL playoff history
9 time 50 goal scorer (nobody did it more)
He was the silent leader of the 1984 Canada Cup team
He led the Islanders in scoring 7 times
The NHL lost a great player when Mike Bossy was forced to retire

Great goal scorer but thats about it.
He was not the leader of that team.
After is carrer he would of love to coach but did not have what it takes.

Great hockey player, awful radio personality.
He was working for a radio station in a comedy show in Montreal several years back and he was simply awful.
He should stick to hockey stuff and leave the comedy to pros.

Likes? He's still playing? Used to like him. Thought he was one of the best scorers ever--natural goal scorer.

Sure.
Scored a lot of goals, wonder how he'd have done without Brian Trotier.
