They could possibly be if they have water and plenty of air to breathe.

It doesn't matter since the efforts will no longer be made to save them if they somehow were. There dead for the reason that the mine had problems dating even before Murry. Although Murry didn't help the situation with all the mine violations. Also it was near a fault line so this added to the problems. so the end result is nothing more is being done for the miners so they are indubidibly dead.

No. Remember, the oxygen sample from the very first hole was only 7% ... not enough to sustain life. They were dead either on Day One from no oxygen, or dead instantly from the mile collapse (also, recall that out of the 6 holes they've bored, they have found no bodies).

No, and how very sad. I do wonder what the truth is about reasons for the cave in, and if it will ever come out. I hope the families are recompensed for their losses, but of course nothing can make up for the death of a loved one.

Sadly no I doubt they could make it this long. I think if they were alive by now as many holes that were dug they would have seen or heard something by now.

It is physically impossible for them to be alive this long. Your humanity (which is admirable) is overcoming your common sense

They were undoubtedly crushed. That is most likely what caused the cave-in, they were gathering coal and their work destabalized the walls.
