Green Day is a cool band and I like their music but they have a habit of coming off as being "whiners." I refer to them as alternative-emo music.
One of the few emo bands that I tolerate.

all their songs sound the same, they play in the same key, they don't have tempo or dynamics changes, just a bunch of emos.
