I had my contraceptive implant removed 5 weeks ago and just two weeks after I just knew I was pregnant! I waited for my period though and got it on the expected day but it was very light and only lasted about 1 day. I still felt pregnant so took a test which was negative. I have since done others with the same result. I have a feeling in my stomach, the exact same one as when I was pregnant with my daughter, almost like a period pain but slightly different. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I really am trusting my instincts and know there is definatley something different. Has anyone had the implant removed and then had negative tests but eventually a positive?

All I can say is keep testing until you get a real period.

There is a syndrome where the mother wants to be pregnant so badly that she actually develops the symptoms as though she really were. I don't know if that applies to you or not.

Take care!

No,but I had a positive test once,it turned out to be an infection.Sometimes it depends on how long you have had the contraceptive implant, after some women have been on them for many years it takes longer to get pregnant.
Since you feel the way you did when you were pregnant before you might be.I always felt like I was getting the flu.

You can have a false negative test but not a false positive, GET to the doctor. You can be pregnant, it could be a tubal pregnancy or just your body getting back to normal. Check it out asap. Good Luck

It sounds like you are ready to be pregnant again-which can mean that your brain can be playing tricks on you. I have not personally used this form of birth control-but I have had a friend-she had it removed and it took her about six months to conceive. She had complications as a result of the birth control-which is why she had it removed.

It is possible that you ARE preganant, but may lose the baby thru miscarriage. Been there done that. Please get to your health dept., doctor, OB-GYN or whatever ASAP.
