I heard a couple of truckers taking about "lot lizards" being out of control on 99 between Fresno and Bakersfield. I think I know, but just what is a lot lizard.? Is it anything like a lounge lizard?

Whooo doggies son, this is going to take a little cleaning up to answer. Hwy 99 runs from I-5 in Red Bluff in N.E. CA all the way down the center of the state through Sacramento and joins I-5 about 30 mi south of Bakersfield at the base of the Tejon (teehon) pass (AKA the Grapevine) The area between Fresno and the Grapevine has long been know as a hang out for lot lizard, which are prostitutes that hang out around truck stops and rest areas where truckers stop for the night. These are NOT the "pick of the litter" as far as ladies of the night go and not too clean either. Lot lizards are also called (by the younger drivers) Bumper thumpers. Their normal method of operation is to walk through the truck stop or rest area at night knocking on doors until they find a desperate driver. This was the drivers complaint, they wake a driver up when he's trying to sleep. I hung a sign on my window that warned Don't knock ... Lot lizards will be shot, just so I could get a good night sleep. These gals are kind of sad and desperate, just think about a 300 lb driver who's been on the road for a few weeks and hasn't had a bath in a couple of days, this is their normal ahhhh ... customer base. (had a little trouble with that one)
I'm gonna get in trouble for this .... GEORGIE, how do you know about the flashing lights?
HEY!!!! You've got my cell #, why did you waste the points asking this stupid Q. Next time, call me, ya fiddle brain.

Lot Lizards are truck stop parking lot prostitutes. They knock on truck doors soliciting themselves. They got the name because most of them are skanky looking.

And YES, I've been propositioned.
And NO, I've not taken them up on it.

Ladies of the evening that hang around truck stops. If you flip your lights off and on, they will service you.
