I don't want a book to auction. I'm looking for a book that helps me plan a gala.

I recommend The Boy of Steel by Ray Negron. It was inspired by a young boy who wanted to be a Yankee batboy and died of cancer. All proceeds from the sale go to cancer charities so it is a win-win-win situation. Your charity gets money, someone gets a gorgeous children's book and cancer research gets the money from the sale of the book. Pax - C

If you're talking about selling the book, or selling ticket for a chance to win the book, with the proceeds going to charity then I would suggest something like the Harry Potter series as a starter idea.
