When and please God IF the Madeline McCann disappearance is solved does anyone else agree with me that Robert Murat should be compensated IF, and note I say IF he is innocent. WHOEVER is responsible MUST be punished But do other members here not feel that he suffered a bit of a trial by media?
Like I said IF he did something let him face the consequences But IF he didnt, what about his name being dragged through the mud.
Seems that his living as an ex-pat and with his elderly mother portrays him in a more sinister light.Thats not fair either.
What do others think of this?

Of course If he did it make him suffer the consequences. And yes him and his mum have been very helpful, but that doesnt prove or disprove innocence or guilt.
You're right about that dirt Huntley being so helpful.
Lets just hope the portugese police get the right person, can make it stick and the bast*rd gets whats coming to him.
But I'd hate to see anyone innocxent get smeared it would ruin a whole life.
Lets hope its resolved.

I totally agree with you. He should be compensated and also his mother for what they both have been put through.

Robert Murat (and his mum )seemed all too helpful at the start of the enquiry. It reminded me of how helpful Ian Huntley was to the police before he and Maxine Carr were charged over the Holly and Jessica case. I know you are innocent until proven guilty but .................Oh! God I just hope she's not dead.If someone else is charged or if it proves to be the Swiss guy who killed himself then YES Robert Murat should have compensation but somehow I don't think the 'compo' will come into the equation
